Building Floors: There’s a bear cub in the house?!

The floors started with a brutal awakening:  the back of bamboo flooring is NOT finished and will give you gigantic splinters if you don’t wear gloves…

Also, you will feel like you’re 90 years old unless you wear serious knee pads.   I still had a hard time going up and down stairs for a couple of weeks!

You have to dry fit the boards first, then nail and glue them with serious adhesive, like liquid nails.

  

As we’re putting down the board, I noticed that the “rustic” finish on these bamboo floors is hilarious:  it looks like a bear cub grew up in the house and left claw marks all over the place!
